FIRST RECORD OF HEMIKYPTHA MARGINATA FABRICIUS (HETEROPTERA: MEMBRACIDAE) IN BOCAS DEL TORO, PANAMÁ

Descripción The species Hemikyptha marginata (Heteroptera: Membracidae) is registered for the first time for Panama, specifically for the Caribbean slope of the province of Bocas Del Toro, we presume the association of this insect with a plant species, Clibadium grandifolium SF Blake, 1924 (Heliantheae: Asteraceae); the two specimens were perched on leaves and stem of this plant that is well distributed and abundantly in the collection area.
Descripción Se registra por primera vez la especie Hemikyptha marginata (Heteroptera: Membracidae) para Panamá, específicamente para la vertiente caribe de la provincia de Bocas del Toro, presumimos la asociación de este insecto a una especie de planta, Clibadium grandifolium S. F. Blake, 1924 (Heliantheae: Asteraceae); los dos especímenes se encontraban posados sobre hojas y tallo de esta planta que se encuentra bien distribuida y de manera abundantemente en el área de recolecta.
