The ??n?l d? ??n?má, is one of the main routes of world trade, linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and it is also the main driver of ???n?mí? d? ??n?má; the export of services, including internal logistical services. The objective of this research is to verify the operational and economic impact of the Panama Canal expansion project. For this purpose, the explanatory-literarymethod was used and it was developed under the parameter of secondary data collection (articlesand data from the official annual reports of the Panama Canal Authority four years before and four years after the inauguration). The scope of this study is explanatory, because its priority is to helpfuture researchers to study problems or phenomena in greater depth and understand them efficiently. Generally, it is carried out through secondary data collection as a source of informationor carefully chosen published articles. Also, it should be noted that the evolution of this research was good, only that it is still very difficult to measure 100% of the impact that has been achievedin the region and the country. ??r? if it is true that the numbers show a long-term ??sitiv? picture, even though it is ?vid?nt? that every year nu?v?s changes arise in world trade. The main results ofthis article are that the economic impact of the Canal expansion affects up to 40% of the Panamanian GDP. It doubled the capacity of a canal that accounts for 6% of world maritime trade.This proved to us that its construction was not only for the purpose of achieving an active expansion, but rather to strengthen its history in order to remain a leader in the global economy, and to continue to be the driving force behind the economic growth of the country as a whole. By way of conclusion we can mention that, in spite of the years since the inauguration of the there is still a certain amount of effort to build up both the operational and the economic image, which is reflected in the same, both in the country and in the country. El ??n?l d? ??n?má, es una de las principales rutas del comercio mundial, que une a los océanos Atlántico y Pacífico, además es el ?rin?i??l im?uls?r d? l? ???n?mí? d? ??n?má; l? ?x??rt??ión d? s?rvi?i?s, in?luid?s l?s s?rvi?i?s l?gísti??s int?rn??i?n?l?s Esta investigación tiene como objetivo comprobar el impacto operativo y económico que ha tenido este proyecto de ampliación del Canal de Panamá. Para el mismo se utilizó el método explicativo-literario y sedesarrolló bajo el parámetro de recolección de datos secundarios (artículos y datos de los informes anuales oficiales de la Autoridad del Canal de Panamá de cuatro años antes y cuatro años despuésde la inauguración). El alcance de este estudio es de tipo explicativo, porque se tiene como prioridad ayudar a los futuros investigadores a estudiar los problemas o fenómenos con mayor profundidad y entenderlos de forma eficiente. Por lo general, se realiza a través de recolección de datos secundarios como fuente de información o artículos publicados que se eligen cuidadosamente.
