Descripción The present study assesses the use of empowerment and participation technologies of pharmaceutical professionals working in the pharmacy of Hospital Regional Doctor Luís “Chicho” Fábrega, as tools of the health system that favor the search for greater participation of the outpatient and hospital patients in the improvement of their health. This research was developed on the basis of a retrospective, descriptive and cross- sectional study, where the information was processed in the statistical program Statistical Package for Social Sciences. From a total of 10 pharmacists surveyed, it was determined that the majority of pharmacists consider the use of Pharmacy 2.0 tools to be useful for the development of their professional practice; However, 80.0% of the pharmacists surveyed indicated that they do not have sufficient training regarding the use of these tools. In this regard, all respondents indicated that they need to update their training in the use of these computer resources.
Descripción El presente estudio valora el uso de las tecnologías del empoderamiento y la participación por parte de los profesionales farmacéuticos que laboran en la farmacia del Hospital Regional Doctor Luís “Chicho” Fábrega como herramientas del sistema de salud que propician la búsqueda de una mayor participación de los pacientes ambulatorios y hospitalarios en la mejoría de su salud. Esta investigación se desarrolló sobre la base de un estudio retrospectivo, descriptivo y de corte transversal, en donde la información fue procesada en el programa estadístico Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. De un total de 10 farmacéuticos encuestados, se determinó que en su mayoría los farmacéuticos consideran de gran utilidad el empleo de las herramientas de Farmacia
2.0 para el desarrollo de su ejercicio profesional; sin embargo, el 80.0% de los farmacéuticos encuestados señaló que no cuentan con la suficiente formación respecto al uso de estas herramientas. En este sentido todos los encuestados señalaron que necesitan actualizar su formación en el uso de estos recursos informáticos.
