Descripción This article intends an approach to the concept of science from the ideas of the logical positivism of Ayer, Popper and Bunge. The contrast of ideas is set based in  their opinions on what is science and what is knowledge; the relevance of language; the discussion between objectivity and subjectivity and the importance of  method. From this comparative exercise we can observe not only the distinctions and similarities between these authors, but the evolution of positivism itself. It is concluded that positivism is a current of thought that enriches the debate in science.
Descripción El presente artículo realiza un acercamiento al concepto de la ciencia a partir de las ideas del positivismo lógico de Ayer, Popper y Bunge. La contrastación de las ideas se da a partir de sus opiniones sobre qué es ciencia y qué es conocimiento; la relevancia del lenguaje; la discusión entre objetividad y subjetividad y la importancia del método. De este ejercicio se puede observar no solo las distinciones y similitudes entre las posturas de estos autores, sino también la propia evolución del positivismo. Se concluye que positivismo es una corriente que enriquece el debate en las ciencias.
