Descripción When addressing the issue of analysis of literary genres as a historical entity through comparative literature, we are dealing with a model that requires establishing an indirect link between the text and the ideal type that acts as a reference for all descriptive value. Currently, the study of literary genres has become an important part of literary theory, in which two fundamental ways of approaching the problem of genres have been distinguished; the one that considers literary genres as historical entities with real empirical characteristics and the one that tries to establish a range of permanent and temporary generic categories. Everything indicates that to carry out the discussion in comparative literature, it is necessary to take into account the binary relationships between authors and works that present deep theoretical-literary content. In this way, the writers highlight the functions of literary genres as a vehicle to communicate with the society where they develop through institutionalization, hence why there are some genres that triumph more in one society than in another
Descripción Al abordar el tema sobre análisis de los géneros literarios como una entidad histórica a través de la Literatura comparada, tratamos con un modelo que exige establecer un vínculo indirecto entre el texto y el tipo ideal que actúa como referente de todo valor descriptivo. Actualmente, el estudio de los géneros literarios se ha constituido en parte importante de la teoría literaria, en el cual se han distinguido dos vías fundamentales de acercamiento a la problemática de los géneros; la que considera los géneros literarios como entidades históricas con características empíricas reales y la que pretende establecer una gama de categorías genéricas permanentes y temporales. Todo señala que, para realizar la discusión en la literatura comparada, hay que tomar en cuenta las relaciones binarias entre autores y obras que presenten profundos contenidos teóricos-literarios. De esta manera, los escritores destacan las funciones de los géneros literarios como un vehículo para comunicarse con la sociedad donde se desarrollan a través de la institucionalización, de aquí se explica por qué hay unos géneros que triunfan más en una sociedad que en otra.
