Within mathematics, one of the topics studied since ancient civilizations such as the Babylonians, is the equations of the first degree with one unknown. It is within the Mathematics study plans called the Common Core of Mathematics (NCMA), which are taught in the first year of the University of Panama. Its importance lies in the great application it has, in subsequent subjects of the career, as well as in daily and professional situations, depending on the career. From this derives the need for students to achieve effective learning that lasts over time. It is here, where the research emerges, with the aim of determining the incidence of didactic strategies in the learning of first degree equations with one unknown.
Descripción La asignatura de Matemática, generalmente ha sido considerada como complicada por los estudiantes, la misma requiere de mucha concentración y el interés necesario para lograr comprender todo el potencial que contiene. La Matemática modela los conocimientos existentes y los enfila hacia la confrontación de diversos problemas o situaciones del ser humano, con la finalidad de solucionarlos. Dentro de la Matemática se encuentra, uno de los temas estudiados desde civilizaciones antiguas como los babilonios, las ecuaciones de primer grado con una incógnita. Está dentro de los planes de estudios de Matemática denominados Núcleo Común de Matemática (NCMA), los cuales se imparten en el primer año de la Universidad de Panamá. Su importancia radica en la gran aplicación que tiene, en asignaturas subsecuentes de la carrera, así como también en situaciones cotidianas y profesionales, según sea la carrera. De esto deriva la necesidad de que los estudiantes logren su aprendizaje eficaz, que perdure en el tiempo. Es aquí, donde la investigación emerge, con el objetivo de determinar la incidencia de las estrategias didácticas en el aprendizaje de las ecuaciones de primer grado con una incógnita.
