Descripción The work that is presented below is a case study that approaches the writing in Spanish of first-year Ngäbe students of the School of Spanish of the University of Panama. These students find it difficult to write a text in Spanish, since their language has completely different grammatical structures from ours. For this, the work has been based on the textual grammar based on the RAE’s New Basic Grammar of the Spanish Language (2011) and on the Guaymí (Ngäbe) Language Grammar (2008) written by Miguel A. Quesada Pacheco, among others. The objective of the work is to analyze the writing in Spanish of Ngäbe students to determine the difficulties in the realization of the plural. The method used is contrastive from the establishment of contrasts between the native language and the target language. The study is mixed and includes the count of errors in three texts (quantitative) and the analysis (qualitative) of the errors. It is concluded that the elements most affected in the pluralization have been the nominal phrases, followed by the prepositional phrases. The importance of going much deeper into ancestral languages and the prevailing need for teacher training in the teaching of L2 is visualized.
 
Descripción El trabajo que a continuación se presenta, es un estudio de caso que se aproxima a la escritura en español de alumnos ngäbe de primer año de la Escuela de Español de la Universidad de Panamá. A estos estudiantes se les dificulta escribir un texto en español, pues su lengua tiene estructuras gramaticales completamente diferentes a la nuestra. Para ello, el trabajo se ha basado en la gramática textual fundamentada en la Nueva gramática básica de la lengua española de la RAE (2011) y en la Gramática de la lengua guaymí (ngäbe) (2008) escrita por Miguel A. Quesada Pacheco, entre otros. El objetivo del trabajo es analizar la escritura en español de estudiantes ngäbe para determinar las dificultades en la realización del plural. El método utilizado es el contrastivo a partir del establecimiento de contrastes entre la lengua nativa y la lengua meta. El estudio es mixto e incluye el conteo de errores en tres textos (cuantitativo) y el análisis (cualitativo) de los errores. Se concluye que los elementos más afectados en la pluralización han sido los sintagmas nominales, seguidos de los sintagmas preposicionales. Se visualiza la importancia de profundizar mucho más en las lenguas ancestrales y la necesidad imperante de la preparación de docentes en la enseñanza de la L2.
