Descripción This article intends to provide, through the scientific, humanistic, and highly practical lens of Text Linguistics, a rhetorical and discursive description of the Finishes Inspection Report written by Interior Design students of Universidad de Panamá. Throughout the analysis of the specialized corpus IINADI-UP 2019, its rhetorical organization (sections, subsections and rhetorical moves) was described; the most important moves according to their frequency and amplitude were identified, and the discursive strategies employed in the second one were characterized by describing its vocabulary. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the Finishes Inspection Report is a subgenre of the technical report, which has both a distinctive communicative purpose and rhetorical and discursive characteristics typical of Interior Design sphere: a purpose focused on the improvement of the inner finishes conditions of the buildings and the use of technical vocabulary proper of this professional context.
Descripción El presente artículo busca proponer, mediante el enfoque científico, humanístico, y altamente aplicativo de la lingüística del texto, una descripción retórico-discursiva del Informe de Inspección de Acabados (IINA) redactado por estudiantes de Diseño de Interiores de la Universidad de Panamá. Mediante el análisis del corpus especializado IINADI-UP 2019, se describió su organización retórica (secciones, subsecciones y movidas), se identificaron las movidas más importantes según su frecuencia y extensión, y se caracterizaron los rasgos más prominentes del discurso en esta última, por medio de la descripción de su vocabulario. A partir de los resultados, se concluye que el Informe de Inspección de Acabados es un subgénero del informe técnico con un propósito comunicativo y características retórico-discursivas propios de la esfera del diseño de interiores: un propósito enfocado en el mejoramiento de las condiciones de los acabados en el interior de las edificaciones y el empleo de léxico técnico de esta esfera profesional.
