Descripción The present research aims to analyze the equipment in relation to the virtual servers in the public Institutions of the City of Babahoyo. The methodology used to carry out this article is the field, bibliographic method and the applied technique is the interview with the different institutions of the City of Babahoyo, in order to analyze the technological infrastructures, their resources such as hard disk space, memory, connectivity to other computers and internet. As a result of the analysis, the security of the applications that are hosted on the servers and of the applications that are not hosted in the Institutions is diagnosed, as a conclusion it indicates that the benefits according to bibliographic and field research allowed us to know the multiple advantages that virtual servers have, including economic, space and energy savings, not counting the ease of continuity and backup, and also that other factors found are the technical characteristics that should support the application of virtual servers, such as taking into account the security and features such as network structure, firewall, cache capabilities and hard drive storage.
Descripción La presente investigación, tiene como objetivo analizar los equipos en relación con los servidores virtuales en las Instituciones públicas de la Ciudad de Babahoyo. La metodología empleada para realizar este artículo es el método de campo, bibliográfica y la Técnica aplicada es la entrevista a las diferentes instituciones de la Ciudad de Babahoyo, para así analizar las infraestructuras tecnológicas, sus recursos como espacio en disco duro, memoria, conectividad hacia otros equipos e internet. Como resultado del análisis se diagnostica la seguridad de las aplicaciones que se encuentran alojado en los servidores y de las aplicaciones que no están alojadas en las Instituciones, como conclusión nos indica que los beneficios según la investigación bibliográfica y de campo nos permitió conocer las múltiples ventajas que tienen los servidores virtuales entre ellas ahorro económico, de espacio y energía, sin contar la facilidad para la continuidad y respaldo, y además que otros factores encontrados son las características técnicas que deben sustentar la aplicación de los servidores virtuales, como tomar en cuenta la seguridad y características como, son estructura de red, firewall, capacidades de cache y almacenamiento en discos duros.
