Descripción The article analyzes the use of virtual platforms and tools, as a means of communication between teachers and students, in times of crisis. Likewise, it refers to the experiences lived during the pandemic years, by the Covid-19 in Panama. Indeed, we will observe how the media go from transmitting, informing and selling products, services or ideas, to being educational media, since, due to the pandemic, new challenges arose in the teaching-learning process. Therefore, in the educational system, in Panama, technological educational platforms and tools are implemented, and the training of teachers of all educational levels is emphasized, thus achieving the necessary skills to be able to supply students with the corresponding contents.
Descripción En el artículo se analiza el uso de plataformas y herramientas virtuales, como medio de comunicación entre los docentes y discentes, en tiempos de crisis.  Asimismo, hace referencia a las experiencias vividas durante los años de pandemia, por el Covid-19 en Panamá. En efecto, observaremos cómo los medios de comunicación pasan de transmitir, informar y vender productos, servicio o ideas, a ser medios de comunicación educativos, ya que, debido a la pandemia surgieron nuevos retos en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Por consiguiente, en el sistema educativo, en Panamá, se implementan plataformas y herramientas educativas tecnológicas, y se enfatiza la capacitación a docentes de todos los niveles educativos, logrando así las competencias necesarias para poder suplir a los estudiantes de los contenidos correspondientes.
