Descripción The COVID-19 pandemic has caused changes and adaptations in society, including companies and businesses. With biosecurity measures and restrictions, in most cases, it was not possible to work in person as usual. Innovations were made in search of alternatives to continue operating and functioning in the environment and the requirements of the demand for goods and services. When evaluating the current situation of the work team at Dell Technologies Panama, in order to identify the opportunities, threats and benefits that working virtually brought with it. A survey was applied, and interviews were conducted as data and information collection tools. With the results obtained, graphs were analyzed and elaborated, where it was possible to identify opportunities such as: training and conferences with a greater scope, greater availability of talent, interaction with members from other countries, as well as improving communication in English. Provide benefits such as greater flexibility, productivity and cost reduction, and consider the risk in the personal versus work life balance, as well as consider the risks of cybersecurity. With the study data, it can be seen that although Dell Technologies Panama is prepared to work in virtual environments, there is still a field for improvement and opportunities that can, if they consider strengthening virtual work, since it is a reality that staff prefer to work virtually or Mixed, rather than face-to-face.
Descripción La pandemia de COVID-19 ha provocado cambios y adaptaciones en la sociedad, incluyendo, en las empresas y en los negocios. Con las medidas de bioseguridad y restricciones, en la mayoría de los casos, no era posible laborar de forma presencial como era acostumbrado.  Se realizaron innovaciones en busca de alternativas para continuar operando y funcionando en el entorno y los requerimientos de la demanda de bienes y de servicios.  Al evaluar la situación actual del equipo de trabajo en Dell Technologies Panama, con el fin de identificar las oportunidades, amenazas y beneficios que trajo consigo trabajar de forma virtual.  Se aplicó una encuesta y se realizaron entrevistas como herramientas de recolección de datos e información. Con los resultados obtenidos, se analizaron y se elaboraron gráficas, donde se pudo identificar oportunidades como: capacitaciones y conferencias con mayor alcance, mayor disponibilidad de talento, interacción con miembros de otros países, así como mejorar la comunicación en inglés. Brindar beneficios como lo son mayor flexibilidad, productividad y reducción de costos, y considerar el riesgo en el balance vida personal versus laboral, el igual que considerar los riesgos de la ciberseguridad.  Con los datos del estudio, se observa, aunque Dell Technologies Panama está preparada para laborar en entornos virtuales, aún existe un campo de mejora y de oportunidades que pueden, si consideran el fortaleciendo del trabajo virtual, pues es una realidad que el personal prefiere laborar virtualmente o mixto, antes que presencial.
