Descripción Mediterranean Shipping Company Panama (MSC Panama), is a company that manages various ways of transporting the containers that arrive at its different ports and are transferred to the different checkpoints. Each of these transport methods have different codes, which, in turn, have a logical sequence. However, when entering them to the registry, there are certain problems that cause them to be delayed, therefore, the option remains to manually enter the entry and exit of the containers. This represents an inconvenience for the company, due to the number of daily hours dedicated to correcting and monitoring it so that they follow the correct route, through the movements assigned by the departments in charge of traffic. In this sense, the problem focused as of April 2021, since the number of contenders with missing movements increased; in such a way that the processes and the regular flow in entering and verifying each of these movements were disrupted, being the most frequent by train, due to the failure of the program or of the same terminal where they arrive, therefore, carried out an analysis to correct the inconveniences, following the paths provided by MSC to avoid future related eventualities.
Descripción Mediterranean Shipping Company Panama (MSC Panamá), es una compañía que maneja diversas formas de transportar los contenedores que llegan a sus diferentes puertos y son trasladados a las diferentes garitas. Cada uno de estos métodos de transporte tienen distintos códigos, que, a su vez, tienen una secuencia lógica. Sin embargo, al ingresarlos al registro, existen ciertos problemas que hacen que se retrasen los mismos, por ende, queda la opción que ingresar manualmente la entrada y la salida de los contenedores. Esto representa un inconveniente para la compañía, debido a la cantidad de horas diarias dedicadas a la corrección y al monitoreo de este para que sigan la ruta correcta, a través de los movimientos asignados por los departamentos encargados del tránsito. En ese sentido, el problema se centró a partir del mes de abril del año 2021, ya que la cantidad de contendores con faltantes de movimientos aumentó; de tal forma que se trastocaron los procesos y el flujo regular en ingresar y en verificar cada uno de estos movimientos, siendo el más frecuente por tren, debido a la falla del programa o de la misma terminal en donde llegan, por lo tanto, se realizó un análisis para corregir los inconvenientes, siguiendo las vías proporcionadas por MSC para evitar futuras eventualidades relacionadas.
