Descripción This article was carried out with the objective of analyzing the financial and economic impact of cabstand in the district of Chitre, with the purpose of knowing the situation that taxi drivers currently face and how they are economically affected. The study was mixed in nature, accompanied by non-experimental descriptive-cross-sectional research. The population included all the cabstands registered with the Transit and Land Transportation Authority in Chitre district. It is made up of nineteen cabstands, grouped into twelve borrowers and a labor union that is made up of seven cabstands. Regarding the instruments for data collection, they were chosen based on the research design, in which primary and secondary sources were used. Once the information from the taxi drivers was collected, the data was tabulated for their respective analysis. Taxi drivers are therefore an important source of income throughout the region because many drivers and chauffeurs benefit from this work, suggesting that many households are economically dependent on this work. Concluding that the cabstand business is fundamental in the Chitre region because it is a source of income for many homes and businesses in the region and therefore must be managed according to supply and demand, promoting the economic and sustainable growth of the region.
Descripción El presente artículo se llevó a cabo con el objetivo de analizar el impacto financiero y económico de las piqueras de taxis en el distrito de Chitré, con el propósito de conocer la situación que enfrentan actualmente los taxistas y de cómo se ven afectados económicamente. El estudio fue de carácter mixto, acompañado de una investigación de tipo descriptiva-transversal no experimental. La población comprendió todas las piqueras de taxis registradas en la Autoridad de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre en el distrito de Chitré. La misma está constituida por diecinueve piqueras, agrupadas en doce prestatarias y un sindicato que lo conforman siete piqueras. En cuanto a los instrumentos para la recolección de datos fueron escogidos en base al diseño de la investigación, en la cual se utilizaron fuentes primarias y secundarias. Una vez recolectada la información de las piqueras de taxis, los datos fueron tabulados para su respectivo análisis. Por lo tanto, los taxistas son una importante fuente de ingresos en toda la región, porque muchos conductores y choferes se benefician de este trabajo, lo que sugiere que muchos hogares dependen económicamente de este trabajo. Llegando a la conclusión que el negocio de la piquera es fundamental en la región de Chitré porque es una fuente de ingresos para muchos hogares y negocios de la región y por lo tanto debe ser administrado de acuerdo con la oferta y la demanda; promoviendo el crecimiento económico y sostenible de la región.
