Descripción The selection of the research topic was considered because the economic, logistical and commercial impact was relevant for all actors participating in international trade operations of goods in transit through the Panama Canal. The objective of the research was to describe the commercial impact due to the delay in the logistics connectivity of the Panama Canal during the year 2023. With the review of the literature, an inventory of the sources of information was conducted considering the events and circumstances that They are currently affecting the delay and subsequent congestion that affects commercial vessels that use the Canal to carry out bi-oceanic transit. In the analysis of the information, the article offers a proposal to address the challenges facing the Canal, in other words, workable solutions provided by both experts, the Panama Canal Authority and the author are revealed, considering the development of the investigation, allowing the interpretation of the results.
Descripción La selección del tema de investigación se consideró por ser relevante el impacto económico, logístico y comercial para todos los actores que participan dentro de las operaciones de comercio internacional de mercancías en tránsito a través del Canal de Panamá. El objetivo de la investigación fue describir el impacto comercial debido al retraso en la conectividad logística del Canal de Panamá durante el año 2023. Con la revisión de la literatura, se realizó un arqueo de las fuentes de información tomando en cuenta los eventos y circunstancias que actualmente están incidiendo en el retardo y posterior congestionamiento que afecta a las embarcaciones comerciales que utilizan el Canal para realizar el tránsito bioceánico. En el análisis de la información, el artículo ofrece una propuesta para abordar los desafíos que enfrenta el Canal, en otras palabras, se develan posibles soluciones aportadas tanto por expertos, la Autoridad del Canal de Panamá y el autor, a la luz del desarrollo de la investigación, permitiendo la interpretación de los resultados.
