Descripción It is increasingly difficult to ignore the quality of public spaces within urban centers, as the lack of adequate green spaces has a negative effect on the environment, well-being, and ways of socializing the neighbors. [1] Public green spaces play an important role in cities because they improve the health and well-being of their inhabitants while reducing environmental and thermal impact, especially when green areas are incorporated.
In this study we analyzed the public spaces: sidewalks, parks, within Ave. 3 to East and Ave. 4 to East, where the Miguel de Cervantes Park is in the central area of David, in the predominantly commercial and institutional uses of various heights. The area was studied using maps of existing conditions using tools such as Google Earth [2], it was found that the current site conditions lack sufficient public spaces and arborization in the area near the center, being an unfit place and not comfortable for pedestrians in the area.
Descripción Cada vez es más difícil ignorar la calidad de los espacios públicos dentro de los centros urbanos, ya que la falta de espacios verdes adecuados tienen un efecto negativo sobre el medioambiente, el bienestar y las formas de sociabilización de los vecinos.[1] Los espacios verdes públicos desempeñan un papel importante en las ciudades debido a que ellos mejoran la salud y el bienestar de sus habitantes a la vez que reducen el impacto ambiental y térmico, sobre todo cuando se incorporan áreas verdes.
En este estudio analizamos los espacios públicos: aceras, parques, dentro de las Ave. 3 a Este y Ave. 4 a Este, donde se encuentra el Parque Miguel de Cervantes en el área central de David, en el predominan usos mayormente comerciales e institucionales de diversas alturas. Se estudio el área por medio de mapas de condiciones existentes usando herramientas como Google Earth [2], se encontró que las condiciones del sitio actuales carecen de espacios públicos suficientes y de arborización en el área cercana al centro, siendo un lugar poco apto y no confortables para los peatones del área.
