Descripción This article is the result of a descriptive observational study conducted in the journal portal of Universidad de Panama, to determine the level of scientific productivity in Mathematics. After reviewing each of the journals available in this portal, it was found that only 13 of them accept articles related to Mathematics, since the other journals are from specific areas of knowledge.  Only twenty-six Mathematics articles have been published in those thirteen journals during the last 5 years (2018-2022), which represents only 2,89% of the total production; this percentage includes articles that are the result of some research and writings referring to a bibliographic review.
Descripción Este artículo es el resultado de un estudio observacional descriptivo realizado en el portal de revistas de la Universidad de Panamá, en el cual se buscaba determinar el nivel de productividad científica en matemática.  Después de revisar cada una de las revistas con que cuenta este portal, se determinó que solo en trece de ellas son aceptados artículos relacionados con matemática, ya que las demás son de áreas específicas del conocimiento.  En esas trece revistas durante los últimos cinco años (2018-2022), únicamente se han publicado veintiséis artículos de matemática, lo que representa solo un 2,89% de la producción total; este porcentaje incluye artículos que son resultado de alguna investigación y escritos referentes a una revisión bibliográfica.
